Parousia of Jesus Christ Our Lord: Marian Apparitions
In this passage a concluding statement is given by St. Irenaeus (180 A.D.) concerning the Gnostics' (Especially of the school of Valentinus) magical illusions and practices centered around their many gods (vis a vis in the modern age Karol Wojtyla's abominable Assisi gatherings) all emanating from the Mother goddess. The Valentinian Gnostics, in their blasphemous heretical sect had reformed the true Jesus Christ and His blessed mother into a version of the ancient pagan goddess-god of the Graeco-Egyptian Isis-Horus cult. The Marian apparitions are a modern version of that.
3. Since, therefore, there exist among them error and misleading influences, and magical illusions are impiously wrought in the sight of men; but in the Church, sympathy, and compassion, and stedfastness, and truth, for the aid and encouragement of mankind, are not only displayed278 without fee or reward, but we ourselves lay out for the benefit of others our own means; and inasmuch as those who are cured very frequently do not possess the things which they require, they receive them from us;-[since such is the case, ] these men are in this way undoubtedly proved to be utter aliens from the divine nature, the beneficence of God, and all spiritual excellence. But they are altogether full of deceit of every kind, apostate inspiration, demoniacal working, and the phantasms of idolatry, and are in reality the predecessors of that dragon279 who, by means of a deception of the same kind, will with his tail cause a third part of the stars to fall from their place, and will cast them down to the earth. It behoves us to flee from them as we would from him; and the greater the display with which they are said to perform [their marvels], the more carefully should we watch them, as having been endowed with a greater spirit of wickedness. If any one will consider the prophecy referred to, and the daily practices of these men, he will find that their manner of acting is one and the same with the demons.

Marian and other Apparitions
What most people don’t know about all the apparitions is that up to and including the time of Msgr. Ottaviani’s holding the reigns of the Holy Office is that there was a ban on all of them. That ban was removed (illicitly and without any doctrinal basis) by the Antipope Paul VI in 1969. In 1952 Msgr. Ottaviani as prelate in charge of the Holy Office even issued another warning about them. The original beginning of the modern apparitions was in Rue du Bac in Paris, France in 1830. Catherine Laboure, a nun with heavy Masonic influences in her life, had the first of the modern apparitions and included in the setting she was in a pyramid painted over the chapel altar. This is Freemasonry symbolism and idolatry.
Have you noticed that in the apparitions Mary is always telling girls secrets? Girls like to tell one another secrets. There is just no doctrinal basis for any of it.
“St. Anthony of the desert (St. Athanasius’ teacher in the Catholic faith) said that demonic apparitions are never to be heeded because, although there may be some or appear to be some factual truth in them, because of their origin they will always be false and heeding them or turning aside after them in any way will only help the Devil to carry out whatever scheme that the evil one is attempting.” –
Also, St. Anthony said that true apparitions given by the true God will always bring peace and joy and never terror. He said terror in an apparition means the apparition is always from the evil one. Also, he said that God brings healing and not disease and death. Remember Portugal and many other of the “apparitions” – terror, disease and death. St. Anthony also said when there is any doubt at all, ask “who and whence” of the apparition with firm faith and if it is false it will not be able to claim that it is God. Some of the seers tried this and instead of an immediate and straightforward affirmation that it was truly from God they got evasive answers. Remember the devil in the garden of Eden, evasive. There is no doubt that God walked with St. Anthony for many miracles of healing and deliverance from demonic oppression were given him to do by God. St. Anthony also was the founding stone by which the coenobitic monastic movement had its beginning (prior to St. Pachomius) and from that movement spread the Gospel in the 4th century and continued on through the centuries, including such notables as St. Benedict of Nursia/Umbria and St. Patrick and St. Columban of Ireland etc. Also, St. Irenaeus’ (180 A.D.) teaching on visions given by God is the same as St. Anthony’s. The council of Trent taught that nothing can be declared doctrine unless it has the full consensus of the Church Fathers (last of the Fathers in the west is St. Isadore of Seville, 636 A.D. and last in the East is St. John Damascene, mid 8th century) to support it.
The Coming Persecution
25 …He that loveth his life shall lose it and he that hateth his life in this world keepeth it unto life eternal. (DRV)
1 ¶ (12-18 ) And he stood upon the sand of the sea. (13-1) And I saw a beast coming up out the sea, having seven heads and ten horns: and upon his horns, ten diadems: and upon his heads, names of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like to a leopard: and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his own strength and great power.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were slain to death: and his death’s wound was healed. And all the earth was in admiration after the beast.
4 And they adored the dragon which gave power to the beast. And they adored the beast, saying: Who is like to the beast? And who shall be able to fight with him?
5 And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies: and power was given to him to do, two and forty months.
6 Andhe opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And power was given him over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth adored him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb which was slain from the beginning of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that shall lead into captivity shall go into captivity: he that shall kill by the sword must be killed by the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11 ¶ And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth: and he had two horns, like a lamb: and he spoke as a dragon.
12 And he executed all the power of the former beast in his sight. And he caused the earth and them that dwell therein to adore the first beast, whose wound to death was healed.
13 And he did great signs, so that he made also fire to come down from heaven unto the earth, in the sight of men.
14 And he seduced them that dwell on the earth, for the signs which were given him to do in the sight of the beast: saying to them that dwell on the earth that they should make the image of the beast which had the wound by the sword and lived.
15 And it was given him to give life to the image of the beast: and that the image of the beast should speak: and should cause that whosoever will not adore the image of the beast should be slain.
16 And he shall make all, both little and great, rich and poor, freemen and bondmen, to have a character in their right hand or on their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man: and the number of him is six hundred sixty-six.
Dura europos is simply the house churches that the early Church met in. In each of these as the Didache (written 49 A.D.) tells us people selected their own bishops. St. Clement of Rome (Apostolic Father), in his epistle, tells us the same — he rebuked a small group in Corinth for not honoring the bishop that the whole local congregation had selected.
The Church began in small house churches and she will great her Lord when He returns from the same with all the faithful in all the faithful churches of every size.
